Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)

Program Overview

This course teaches security engineers to implement and manage security controls across Microsoft Azure. Participants learn to manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID, configure authentication and authorisation, and secure access to Azure resources. The programme covers implementing platform protection through network security, host and container security, and governance, along with securing data and applications using encryption, key management, and secure configuration. It extends into security operations, including monitoring, threat protection, and responding to incidents with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel, so that Azure environments remain secure and compliant. It suits security engineers responsible for protecting Azure workloads, and is delivered through instructor-led presentation, guided demonstrations, and hands-on labs in a live Azure environment.
